Overview
This is the personal portfolio of Patrick Barnhardt. It does not carry advertising or advertising trackers. It does measure traffic, using Google Analytics, as described below. Patrick does not sell or rent personal information he receives through the site; he uses it only to operate the site, protect the contact form, understand which pages are read and respond to messages.
Information you provide
The contact form requires a name, email address and message. Depending on the type of inquiry, it may also accept a company or studio name, telephone number, subject, project link, timing and other project details. Those optional fields are used only to understand and respond to the inquiry.
A submission is delivered as email to [email protected]. The site does not keep a separate database of contact submissions. The contact service records limited delivery and diagnostic information, such as a submission identifier, inquiry type, delivery identifier and request identifier, but does not write the submitted form fields or message body to its application logs.
Hosting and anti-spam protection
The public site is hosted through GitHub Pages. GitHub may process technical request information as described in its privacy statement.
The home page loads Cloudflare Turnstile to protect the contact form from automated abuse. Turnstile processes technical signals including IP address, user-agent information, TLS fingerprint, site key and the site's origin. The form's server-side verification also sends the connecting IP address to Cloudflare. Cloudflare explains this processing in its Turnstile Privacy Addendum.
Analytics
Every page loads Google Analytics 4, which counts visits and records which pages are read. The tag sets first-party cookies in your browser and sends Google the page address, the referring page, general device and browser information and an approximate location derived from your IP address. Google states that Analytics does not log or store full IP addresses.
Patrick sees only aggregate reports — page counts, referrers, countries — and uses them to decide which work is worth keeping current. The property has no advertising features enabled, and the data is not used to target ads to you or sold to anyone. Google's own handling is described in its privacy policy and in how Google uses information from sites that use its services.
Embedded and externally hosted media
Some portfolio thumbnails are served by YouTube. Certain project pages and media viewers also include videos from YouTube's privacy-enhanced domain or interactive models from Sketchfab. When that media is requested, the provider receives normal browser and network request information and may process it under its own privacy policy. You can avoid loading an interactive embed by not opening that media or visiting its project page.
How long information is kept
Contact email is retained only as long as reasonably necessary to answer the inquiry, maintain records of a potential or completed working relationship, resolve disputes or meet legal obligations. Infrastructure and security providers retain their own operational records according to their respective policies.
Your choices
You may contact Patrick directly by email instead of using the form. To ask what personal information from a contact submission is held, request a correction or request deletion where applicable, email [email protected].
To stay out of the analytics counts, block cookies or scripts for this site in your browser, or install Google's Analytics opt-out browser add-on. Nothing on the site requires analytics to work, and blocking it will not break any page.
